milk and food production for servicemen has since grown into the longest running festival in the State of Illinois.  Sixty-five years later, Harvard’s annual Milk Day festival is entertainment for all ages, especially for 2007 prince and princess candidates.

This year’s prince and princess are Jonathan Vergara and Emma Hoeflich, according to State Senator Pamela J. Althoff (R-Crystal Lake), who judged this Sunday’s contest.

The Milk Days Prince and Princess Contest, which has been a Milk Days tradition since 1960 is open to boys between the age of four and seven and girls between the age of five and seven.  Contestants wear costumes constructed of crepe paper and designed in a prince or princess style.
