Struggling to hold onto your home? Behind on mortgage payments? Nearing foreclosure? If these are questions that apply to you, help is available.

Senator Althoff and Rep. Tryon are teaming up with the Governor's Office for the Mortgage Relief Project - a seminar to educate you on government programs available to help you lower your mortgage payments, avoid foreclosure and keep your home. Free housing counseling will be available, as well as tips on how to recognize the tell-tale signs of mortgage fraud.

The seminar will be Thursday, September 10th from 4 to 7 pm  at McHenry County College - 8900 US Route 14, Building B in Crystal Lake.

Be sure to bring your latest mortgage documents (bills, statements, notices, etc.) and your state ID or driver's license.
