Springfield, Ill. – A hearing on redistricting reform that had been delayed twice before, is finally set to be held July 29, in Chicago.

State Sen. Pamela Althoff (R-McHenry) explained state lawmakers are considering changing the current way legislative districts are drawn. Illinois has been sharply criticized for its system of determining state legislative and congressional district boundaries in a way that gives advantage to a particular candidate or political party.
