Springfield, IL- While Governor Blagojevich attended the State Fair and many other Senate Democrats were campaigning at political functions, the Senate Republicans were on the floor of the Senate Chamber on Wednesday ready to work. State Senator Pamela Althoff (R-Crystal Lake) believes that the special sessions called this week was nothing more than a trip to the Illinois State Fair for Senate Democrats – courtesy of the taxpayers’ dime.

“We were call to Springfield to address the crucial issues of education funding and a capital construction plan,” Althoff said. “Instead we sat around waiting for business to begin while the Senate’s Democratic leadership was no where in sight.”
